You'll be amazed at how good your layouts look in print

The scrapbook pages, greeting cards and digital art at CropMom aren't meant to be viewed solely on a computer. They're meant to be printed.

The screen-quality JPEG files of your layouts that you can download for free at CropMom are not suitable for printing. That's because they are low-resolution. Low-resolution files look pixelated and fuzzy when they are printed. You'll need a high-resolution JPEG file of your layout if you want to print it. High-resolution JPEG files will result in crisp, clear images.

Purchase a print-quality digital file of your layout

To purchase and download the print-quality, high-resolution JPEG file of a layout you have created at CropMom, you must buy a credit that will be applied toward the purchase of the print-quality file. One credit lets you download one print-quality layout.

Credits are reasonably priced. If you think you'll want more than one print-quality JPEG file, we suggest you purchase a bundle of credits that you can use now or in the future.

You can purchase credits by clicking on the Buy Credits link at the top of most pages at CropMom. Or you can click the Purchase Print Quality link on the detailed view page of a layout that you'd like to download as a high-resolution.

CropMom does not sell prints of your layouts. CropMom sells only the downloadable, print-quality JPEG file, which you then can use to print your layout.

When downloading a print-quality JPEG file from CropMom, make sure you click to Save your layout, not open it. Remember which folder on your computer that you've saved your layout to.

Print your layout at home or have it printed by a photo service

You can print a layout on your home printer. Or you can have your layout printed by a third-party photo service, such as the ones listed below.

Many photo services will let you print your layouts as greeting cards or photo books or even on gifts such as coffee mugs and mousepads.

Upload your JPEG files as high resolution

If you choose to have your layout printed by an online photo service, when you upload the print-quality JPEG file to the photo service Website, make sure that you choose to upload it in full resolution.

Most photo services, by default, use a "quick upload" feature that will reduce the resolution of your image. To ensure the best quality prints of your layout, make sure that the layout is uploaded in full resolution when using an online photo service.

8" by 8" and 12" by 12" scrapbook prints

Many digital scrapbook artists like to get prints of their layouts then add the prints to their scrapbook albums. But not all printing sevrices offer 8" by 8" or 12" by 12" prints.

One option for printing your digital scrapbook layouts is Shutterfly.com. Shutterfly caters to digital scrapbook artists and offers 8" by 8" and 12" by 12" prints of your digital layouts.

If you have a Costco near your home and are a Costco member, Costco's photo service also offers 8" by 8" and 12" by 12" prints.

Scrapping Simply, Ritzpix.com, Viovio also offer 8" by 8" and 12" by 12" prints of your digital scrapbook pages.

You can print your 8" by 8" at home on 8" by 10" photo paper. Whether you use a matte or glossy finish is a matter of personal preference. Once you print the layout, cut off the excess white on the top or bottom of your print.

You'll need a wide-format printer to print 12" by 12" layouts at home. Epson makes quality wide-format printers, such as the Epson Stylus 1400, for printing your 12" by 12" digital scrapbook pages.

Make a photo book

One printing option is to publish your scrapbook pages in a photo book. Photo books come in various sizes, many of which will fit the digital scrapbook pages you make at CropMom. The 8" by 8" and 12" by 12" books are specifically intended for scrapbook layouts.
