What could be more fun than putting your photo or the photo of a friend or family members on the cover of a magazine? They make great gifts, especially for birthdays, retirements, sports achievements and just for fun.

CropMom makes it easy for anyone to create a digital scrapbook page in the form of a  fake magazine.

Get started making your own magazine cover

Upload your photo or photos to CropMom, then follow these steps to create your customized magazine at CropMom:

• Click the Make New Layout button that appears on almost every page in CropMom.
• Select the Open Template button. Browse to find a magazine template that you want to use as the basis for your digital scrapbook page. Scroll through the templates until you get to the magazine templates. Remember, all of CropMom's templates can be fully customized to make the layout your own.
• You can also start your magazine cover from scratch by clicking on the New Layout button. If you choose to start your own new layout, CropMom offers magazine backgrounds in 5" by 7" and 8" by 10" sizes. Select the canvas size you'd like, then make sure you choose the magazine paper that fits your canvas size.
• After you've selected a template or started a layout from scratch, drag your photo or photos onto the canvas.
• Browse through the Cover Story digital scrapbook kit for magazine graphics for your layout. Just drag and drop them onto the canvas. If you want to delete a headline from your layout, select it then right-click and delete it. You can also add your own text using the Add Text tool.
• Resize your photos so that they fit in the allotted spaces. If you need to move your photo behind text, select the photo then click the Move Back tool repeatedly.
• Save your layout, then click the View Saved Layout link to go to the layout in My Layouts. Share your layout via e-mail, download the screen-quality JPEG file of your layout to post on the Web or purchase the print-quality JPEG file of your layout to print at home or to have printed professionally. (The purchased, print-quality layouts do not contain the "Made with CropMom" label.)
