Hybrid Scrapbooking: Bingo Card Mini Album
Bingo Card Scrapbook Album

It's easy to make a bingo card mini album with CropMom. This hybrid scrapbooking project uses a mix of digital scrapbook layouts created using CropMom's online digital scrapbooking software and traditional scrapbook embellishments. The bingo card, crossword and word search backgrounds used throughout this 5" by 7" album are versatile enough for any kind of scrapbook theme. We chose to make a heritage album using vintage photos of two brothers growing up in the 1940s and 1950s.

Begin by making 20 digital scrapbook pages on 5" by 7" canvases at CropMom. Make sure that you use a 5" by 7" portrait canvas so that the game cards will fit the canvas perfectly. Use a bingo card, crossword puzzle or word search card as the background for each layout. These cards can be found in the Attic Treasures, Home for the Holidays, Social Butterfly and Halloween Fun digital scrapbook kits, under the Word Art category. After you drag a card onto your 5" by 7" canvas, right click and select "center object" to center your game card on the layout. Add your photos and other digital scrapbook graphics to your layouts. Remember to leave room to glue on flowers, rhinestones and other scrapbook embellishments after you print your layouts.

Purchase the print-quality digital files of your layouts. Now, print your layouts, or have them printed by a photo service, on 5" by 7" matte photo paper.

Use the acid-free spray adhesive to adhere the printed layouts to the front and back of the 5" by 7" pieces of chipboard. Use the scissors to trim the layouts to fit the chipboard, if necessary.

After the adhesive has dried, use the Zutter Bind-it-All system to create a spiral binding. The Bind-it-All system will give your book a professional look with little effort. Follow the directions that came with your Bind-it-All. As an alternative, use a paper punch to punch three holes along the left side of your album and secure with three, 1" book rings.

Embellish your book with silk flower petals, rhinestones, buttons, twine, trim, charms or anything else you can think of. Use the acid-free glue to secure the scrapbook embellishments.

Now, fold the 12" strips of ribbon and ric rac in half and tie them to your book's O-ring binding or to the book rings.

For a final touch, attach a ball chain and charm to the O-ring binding or one of the book rings.

A bingo-card album would work for a variety of themes, such as Christmas, Halloween, birthday, heritage, game night, fun and games. Try them all!
